ABOUT US

PokerUK.com - passionate poker advice for casual British players and profitable gambling by professional British players

Watch out, the Brits are coming to Poker!

For only the second time in the history of the World Series Poker championships a Brit -Julian Gardner - has walked off with a major prize.

What's more, British players have noticed a large influx of new players into the game, particularly since poker has turned into a television spectacle with programmes like Late Night Poker on Channel 4.

So, the purpose of our site is to introduce men and women - of all ages, to the thrill of playing poker. So our site is for British based Poker aficionados and beginners to online gaming alike.

And while there already exists plenty of resources for US players, we wanted something to help us Brits - in particular giving advice on Online casino's where it's possible to be play poker and be paid in Sterling, direct into UK-based bank accounts

Introducing the team

Pamela our very own "Victoria Cohen" - sexy knowledgeable and by far the best player amongst us. A real high roller. Has been known to hire a jet to take her to a private table in Geneva.

Paul a fantastic web monkey, but an extraordinarily bad poker player, except when the stakes are high (Like when playing strip poker with Pamela)

Anthony always gets caught out on the flop, a real calling station, our resident beginner and someone you can guarantee to take a pony off, every night.

Stefan a real coffee-houser but likes a lot of action (of the betting variety) and usually plays loose, particularly on fourth-street

Mauro our math geek, he knows his odds all right, but plays tight; he's the resident rock. Hard to beat.
